i really ttryed to cal down with the languge. this movie was made more for the class than any things else. my intent was to be really funny maybe still shocking but still funny. i dont know if i did that yet but we will see.
makeing the movie was tough eveyr one had a alot to do with work and even home life stuff to do. to try to mix and find a time to have this happen was hard. so i knew there was going to be some problems. but there where a little bit more than i thought. neville a big part couldnt come. so we changed the story a little well alot now that i think about it. we had to mix parts and make a very simpleair story. i wanted it to be like obiwan luke and hansolo. it turned in to cutting out han and having obiwan luck get tougter. so yea. any ways this movie was fun to make we did alot of walking and traveling im glad the people in my group were so commited to the project and to any thing i said i wanted to do.
so my idea was the one of vs of ideas the cowboy psyco view that i feel is the major view of our culture to the taoist uncarved block. i feel like of told my group more about these ideas i think i didnt share it because it was rushed.i wanted to show how there are many ideas to getting one with nature and to see your real self if there is one. but i wanted to adress that and to show some are better than others.

artist statement of the hpouse
Artist statement
first movie with ali was ok i didnt know the perosn i just thought of ways it could be funny. so i tried my best but then ali cut out both times i was in a dress so i was dissapointed but i still had fun. oh i love maxis costume ideas. what i think we where trying to show was an iterpataions of hamlet and how selifshness really drives the whole book. no one seems to look beyond there own drama and say we are at war maybe we should kill each other but they didnt. also i would of loved to have had more control over the editing and put some things i thought where funny. havign the camera was fun and being able to make those choices and to do that and see ti really worked for the better was good. i really need to learn how to edit movies.
What was I trying to explore with this project? Well I wanted to look at vengence and conflict in hamlet. We picked the time of the 70s because it is hard to think of a time that has had so much going on so much conflict about race, sexuality, gender , freedom, war , love and really every thing in that time was in some sought of conflict and it hard to think of a time more tense. I know that during the 70s drugs were huge mostly in new york their where people like frank lucas and leroy barnes these people where charters I wanted to have show thorugh this movie. Also since we had such a short time I needed to make the charters intense so we learn allto from our charters quickly and hate them or love them depending what we wanted to go for. So thats why im dressed the way I am and why there is a lot of curesing and such I think to really put people in to this charters mind or atleast have the same feelings.
I know how far it went, it pushed the envelope like really far. This wasnt easy to do some times I had to this and so did a lot of the other actors we had to swallow our pride and wear short booty shorts or cover our selves in flour and yell. It is amazing what some of the group did that they did it when I told them my idea. It was like I could ask the most bizzar thing and lets say neville would just say ok not really know how it connects but he would know it would be for the best hopefully. This was fun but I wish we had more time because it was hard to have every one come when we needed to film since of the baseball thing it was just really fustrating trying to get every one in one place at the same time. But making it was great no real bothers making it just getting every on broad to make it. Also it is a werid idea I have and to make it work in reality was hard for editing and every thing I really hope I could make more movies like this with maybe some crazy theme like this.
then the attack of the skelator! half of it is gone forever . this relly sucks that we need to redo a big chunk we had fun with. i mean we can make it better and have jace wearing a real dress. oh reason why we had jace be ophilla and the queen was to show that hamlet loved both and wanted to have the love both of them so we can fix tht up and hopefully the eiditng will be done with that day i really hope so. editing is hard and i have a weri idea i hope ti comes toughter.

king of denmark
this king i like to say has to be one of the first ever big bussness/politaction bad guys. lust full will do any thing for gain and try his best to claw his way to power. is selfish and at first we are under the impression that he is guilt free for makign sex with his brothers wife. but as the book goes on we see that he feels guilty for killing his brother. i think that he might be younger brother who lived in the shawdow of his older and wants to live his life the same way. probly this explains his narrow vision. when he heard poloinius was killed he only said im glad i wasnt there holy crap. nothing else not the fact he just sint his buddies he was just talking to pout side to where the murder is just the fact he now thinks he was lucky. what i notice he is like the bloomberg type useing his power for only personal gain and nothing else. what i curious about it is we got little bit of this charter in this book he isnt 1 demionshal and there seems to be alot to him but is not really drawn out. it is shame but i guess the whole there is more to this guy that makes him mroe of a bad guy. liek hitler there is so much mystery to him he loved dogs and all this other stuff but if it wasnt for the fact he was more than some tyrant that makes him stand out.
if i where doing the whole play it would be nice if the king the more currupted he was we visally see his degradsion how he breaks down liek the emperor palpitne , aberham lichion and hitler each one of these poeple in there time in power the more time the more they got older looking and seeming broke down hitler for exsample could stop shaking his left hand and held it behind him. maybe he can do the same thing try to show how he is narrow minded how he only sees his goals and nothing elsee. we can show how acrward he is and doesnt care for people just his own goal. maybe have him hunched over and pushing poeple alot to show his willing to do any thing to get what he wants. maybe to show his feeling of being vunerable maybe ways to make him look old and broken. maybe have him much older then any one that he will be the oldest one in the scecne. i think that is how he could stand out also rat like for his sneaky maybe have him in black like a silloette.
in chapter 4 we saw that he was ever one sided even though he felt guilt i think he was him self how poeple know now he feels bad is it guinuian? did he really mean it? maybe he is a real coward and cant deal with this whole problem of being founded out. so he i always hiding probly and far away from every one else. that would be his place maybe.

my point to this video was to do a Foley techuie to have extreme charters and have other extremes condicting them. i had me and Nevile being extremes of meaningless ness and have some one who thinks every thing is meaningful. i wanted to show how 2 extremes aren't good and maybe a middle ground is needed so Zach fell in to that middle ground. in the stanger we see that he hit a point of not caring and that was when in jail surround by Arabic men and said "oh i killed an Arab" i feel like i wanted to show that ballsyness and assholealogy (some poepe didn't want to do because they didn't want to hurt the minds of childern.) like to present a paper and just say mean things and just like try almost to be mean. also i wanted to show how he feels about feeling meaningless that it would make him feel to feel that way. so i thought angry and jealous of people being happy and angry that they don't know or see what he sees.i wanted to match some thing like when murulsa was about to be executed and the priest came to talk to him and the explosion of emotion he had. now for opie i felt like that of corse the opposite ideas where every thing is meaning full and he cant recognize the difference between meaninglessness and meaningful. also was completely stachared in optimism and couldn't see some thing for what it was. even if the guy with eye liner hates you. this is what i thought was muslers girls friend who even after the guy says to you for an answer if he loves you says "no not really" is still seeing the brighter side and dressing up reality.

stanger
reading this book at first i thought it was a book that thought nillism and how nothing at all ever matters. but after reading more and more it think it was showing the dangers and the reporcunctions of this kind of thinking. he regreats his actions or inactions that he expressed for his mother. when he murdered that man the emtions came out and it seemed he was feeling like a volacnoe bursting emotions. income tax is not legal according to the 16th amendment. also how irresponsable having this kind of attuide is like. i think this was a dougunt that looked like a jelly dougunt that really was a chocolet filled. menaing it seemed like one thing and turned in to another. also i think tihs shows how indifferces is irreposable. not taking aciton is worst then that action. but this goes against the daoist idea of the natrual action meaning taking action with out action or doing with out doing. this is i wonder if what he was doing was doing with out doing prehaps this is a form of doing by not doing that he is holding back. prehaps the not doing was acuttly doing and by dong was not taking action or feeling. this book is really deep and i wonder what was the purpose of it. i rember that john stienbecks reason for wrighting mice of men was to life the curtin to americas suffering almost what was the stangers point?
